Rules
Submissions must depict a rarepair. For more information on what counts as a rarepair, please check the Rarepair Criteria.
Please tag your submissions appropriately, including the ship and any triggers/warnings. NSFW/dark content is allowed, so long as it is tagged properly.
We ask that if you make a work with an NSFW visual aspect, to please either put a content warning on the image so that it appears blurred, or post a SFW crop and upload the full image under a Poipiku or Privatter link. This is for the safety of our participants, as this is not an age restricted event. Uncensored posts will not be retweeted.
Use the hashtag #TRRarepairWeek2024, tag us with @TRRarepairWeek, or DM us so that we see your post and can share it on our account.

What is a rarepair?
A rarepair is a term for a pairing or ship that is rare in a fandom, which generally receives little attention from fans and has few associated fanworks.

What counts as a rarepair in Tokyo Revengers?

Do I have to participate every day?
You do not have to participate every day. It's completely up to you which days to participate in, and you are free to mix and match prompts from different days if you wish.
Will the rarepairs be selected by the mods?
No, it is completely up to you which rarepairs you want to create content for! What we provide to you will be a list of prompts that you are free to mix and match however you like.
Are polyships allowed?
Absolutely! We consider all TR polyships to be rarepairs.

Are submissions in other languages than English welcome?
Absolutely! We appreciate fan content from all over the world and it would be amazing to see people join this event with contributions in other languages.
What kind of content is allowed for this event?
All forms of fan content are accepted! Fanfiction, fan art, cosplay, edits, Twitter threads, etc.
In terms of subject matter, we will be providing both SFW and NSFW prompts, so you are free to write mature content if you wish. If you want us to RT this content on Twitter, please make sure it has the proper content warnings!
Is dark/problematic content allowed?
Yes, this type of content is allowed, and the NSFW prompt list may include prompts with darker/problematic subject matter depending on the interest check votes.
Problematic ships are also allowed, as long as they are tagged/content warned appropriately.
Note: "Problematic" means something different to everyone. On our part, we will not tolerate any harassment of creators regarding the content they create either for this event or outside of it. Please refrain from participating if it will negatively affect you to see work you may not agree with shared on our account.
What counts as a rarepair?
This year, we will restrict eligible rarepairs to non-canon ships and ships which have fewer than 250 fics under the "otp: true" filter on AO3. While there are other factors of popularity, such as artworks and international fanbases/platforms, it is easiest for us to use this method to provide a numeric limit.This means that some of the ships we allowed in 2022 will not be allowed this year. Below are the ships not allowed:

Baji/Chifuyu
Inupi/Koko
Kazutora/Chifuyu
Draken/Mikey
Hanma/Kisaki
Draken/Mitsuya
Hinata/Takemichi (canon pairing)
Draken/Emma (canon pairing)
Note: This list is subject to change as we approach the event week.
What does otp: true mean?
AO3's otp: true search filter allows you to search for fics where your ship is the only tagged ship, and excludes any fics where it is only a backgroud ship, as well as any fics with other background ships.
"Other ships" also includes any platonic relationship tag. While this filter may exclude fics where your ship is the main focus, and other ships or friendships also exist, it is still a more accurate representation of a ship's fic count. Many ships may be more often used as side pairings, so this filter will exclude those where that is the case.
How do I use otp: true?
On the search page, navigate to the "Sort and Filter" side panel on web, or click the "Filters" button on mobile to toggle the panel.
Scroll down to the "More Options" section, and type otp: true in the field "Search within results".
From AO3:
Use otp: true for works tagged with only one relationship
Can be used by itself or in combination with a specific relationship tag (e.g. chosen from the filtering options)
Will exclude all A/B works where A/B might only be a side pairing, but also all A/B works with other side pairings
Will include works with multiple relationship tags if they're all synned to the same canonical tag
